Nanette D. Barragán, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California's 44th district since 2017, has recently shared her views and initiatives through a series of tweets addressing key issues affecting immigrant communities and education policy under the Trump administration.

On February 19, 2025, Barragán posted about the challenges faced by immigrant communities due to Trump's Executive Actions. Immigrant communities are facing new challenges under Trump’s Executive Actions..."

In another tweet on the same day, Barragán reiterated her message in Spanish to reach a broader audience within immigrant communities. She again encouraged participation in the Tele-Town Hall event with legal experts to better inform individuals of their rights and available resources. " ¡Conozca sus Derechos! Las comunidades inmigrantes están enfrentando nuevos desafíos bajo las Acciones Ejecutivas de Trump..."

Later that day, Barragán took a firm stance against Trump's proposal to eliminate the Department of Education during a live discussion with representatives from Los Angeles Schools. She highlighted the potential risks such actions pose to children's futures and urged viewers to engage with the broadcast for more information. "I’m LIVE with @LASchools and @LAUSDSup to slam Trump’s reckless plan to eliminate the Department of Education..."
