On February 15, 2025, Barragán expressed her concern over the impact of Trump and Musk's policies on American citizens. She stated that "Trump & Musk will make sure most Americans suffer as they take away critical services & support." She accused them of prioritizing wealth and power for billionaires and corporations over the welfare of the public.

Later that day, Barragán criticized Trump's hiring choices by stating that "Tech bros who don’t even know how to use Google. Unbelievable incompetence." She suggested that despite Trump's claim of hiring "the best people," he is surrounded by individuals she describes as "dangerous idiots."

On February 17, 2025, Barragán raised concerns about national safety related to air traffic systems under the influence of Trump and Musk. She remarked that "Most experts agree that our air traffic system is already stretched thin - this move by Trump & Musk will make Americans less safe." She questioned whether any Republicans or the Secretary of Transportation would take action against these developments.
