Congressman Robert Garcia, representing California's 42nd District, has been active on social media, sharing his thoughts and activities with the public. His recent tweets cover a range of topics from local business support to national economic policies.

On February 1, 2025, Congressman Garcia expressed his ongoing support for local businesses in Southeast Los Angeles. He shared his experience visiting El Guapito, a Mexican restaurant in the City of Bell. "It’s been a tough week, but proud to always support local businesses in Southeast LA. Had a chance to visit El Guapito, a local Mexican restaurant in the @CityofBell. It is such a great spot. Amazing food!"

Later that day, Garcia addressed economic concerns related to tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump. He criticized the impact of these tariffs on consumer prices, stating: "Donald Trump never cared about your grocery bill. Expect higher prices for all kinds of goods because of Trump’s 25% tariff tax on anything you buy from Canada and Mexico. Food costs are about to skyrocket. We need to fight these new hurtful taxes."

In another tweet on February 1, Garcia commented on the political influence of Elon Musk and Donald Trump. He suggested their collaboration aims to benefit billionaires at the expense of broader democratic interests: "Elon Musk is clearly the co-president with Donald Trump. They want to create a government by and for the billionaires. Joined @MeidasTouch to remind us that Democrats need to call this out loudly."
