Congressman Robert Garcia, representing California's 42nd District, has shared a series of tweets expressing his views on various national issues. The tweets, posted on January 21, 2025, cover topics ranging from the January 6 insurrection to immigration policies and disaster relief.

In his first tweet, Congressman Garcia addressed his visit to the DC jail where he met individuals involved in the January 6 insurrection. He stated that these individuals "showed no remorse after violently attacking our Capitol," describing their lack of remorse as "shameful." "I met the J6 insurrectionists when I visited the DC jail on behalf of House Dems. They showed no remorse after violently attacking our Capitol. This is shameful." (January 21, 2025).

Later that day, Garcia commented on former President Donald Trump's proposed mass deportations policy. He criticized it as "inhumane," "illegal," and unconstitutional because it includes U.S. citizens with undocumented parents. Emphasizing inclusivity, he remarked that these individuals are integral to American communities and opposed exclusionary foundations for the country. "Donald Trump's proposed mass deportations across the country, which include U.S. citizens with undocumented parents, are completely inhumane, illegal, and against the Constitution." (January 21, 2025).

In another tweet from January 21st evening, Garcia expressed concerns about potential conditions being attached to disaster relief aid by Congress. He emphasized that such aid has never been conditional before and criticized any attempt to impose restrictions on assistance for communities affected by hurricanes in the Southeast or those suffering losses in California due to disasters."Disaster relief has never been conditioned." (January 21, 2025).
