Nanette D. Barragán, a U.S. Congress member representing California's 44th district, has recently shared her views on significant issues via social media. Barragán, who has been serving in Congress since 2017, addressed topics ranging from reproductive rights to environmental policies and immigration status.

On January 22, 2025, Barragán expressed her support for reproductive rights following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. She stated: "When the Supreme Court overturned #RoevWade, millions of women were left without access to life-saving care. Proud to stand with @ReproCaucus in the fight to make Roe protections permanent and safeguard #ReproductiveFreedom for all."

The following day, January 23, 2025, she highlighted concerns about the priorities of a congressional hearing on energy and commerce. She remarked: "Our first Energy & Commerce Hearing of the year & it’s not about how to lower costs or provide better healthcare for Americans. Instead, @HouseCommerce Republicans questioned a program that keeps dangerous chemicals out of our water & air." During this hearing, she questioned Dr. Doa of the Environmental Defense Fund regarding the Environmental Protection Agency's efforts.

Later that day, Barragán addressed DACA recipients in light of a federal court ruling in Texas that deemed DACA unlawful. She reassured recipients by stating: "Attention DACA Recipients A federal court in TX ruled DACA unlawful, but that does not impact DACA renewals – for now. This means that current DACA recipients can still renew status & work permits and are strongly recommended to do so as early as possible."
