Congressman Robert Garcia, representing California's 42nd district since 2023, has expressed his concerns and opposition regarding certain actions and individuals through a series of tweets. His comments address political dynamics and specific figures such as Elon Musk and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

On February 11, 2025, Congressman Garcia stated his firm stance against collaborating with Republicans. He voiced concerns about Elon Musk and his team associated with DOGE, accusing them of "invading our agencies and breaching our data." He emphasized the need for continued protests to counteract these actions. "I'm not interested in giving Republicans votes for absolutely anything. Period. Elon Musk and his DOGE team are invading our agencies and breaching our data. We have to keep showing up, protesting, and shutting down DOGE wherever we can."

The following day, on February 12, 2025, Garcia reiterated his criticism of Elon Musk by alleging that he aims to dismantle essential government departments like the Department of Education and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He accused Musk of attempting to access private data while committing to fighting back against these efforts. "We are going to remind the American public of what Elon Musk is trying to do: destroy the Department of Education which provides funds for students with disabilities, gut the NIH which gives grants for cancer research, and get access to our private data. We will fight back hard."

Later on February 12, Garcia commented on Marjorie Taylor Greene's role in the DOGE committee. He referenced an incident involving Greene during an Oversight hearing last year as a point of irony before presenting a metaphorical comparison involving President Elon Musk. "It’s ironic that Marjorie Taylor Greene is in charge of the DOGE committee. Chairwoman Greene literally showed a dick pic last year in our Oversight hearing, so I thought I'd show one as well: a picture of President Elon Musk."
