Nanette D. Barragán, a U.S. Congress member representing California's 44th district, recently shared her views and announcements through a series of tweets. Barragán has been serving in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Janice Hahn. She holds degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California.

On March 23, 2025, Barragán commemorated the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) impact over the past fifteen years. She stated: "15 years ago, the Affordable Care Act made healthcare affordable for millions of Americans." The congresswoman emphasized that House Democrats are prepared to extend ACA-protected tax credits this year and highlighted the responsibility of Donald Trump and congressional Republicans in deciding the future provision of basic healthcare services.

On March 24, 2025, Barragán announced open applications for her summer internship program via Twitter: "Summer Internship Applications Are Now Open!" She encouraged students and recent graduates seeking meaningful experiences in Congress to apply and join Team Barragán.

In another tweet on March 25, 2025, Barragán addressed accountability measures taken by House Democrats against certain actions by former President Trump and Republican members regarding SNAP benefits. She wrote: "The @HouseDemocrats Steering & Policy Committee holds Trump and Republicans accountable for their actions against the American people." The tweet invited followers to join a live hearing on how cuts to SNAP benefits affect American families.
