Congressman Robert Garcia, representing California's 42nd district since 2023, recently used social media to voice his views on various political figures and their policies. His tweets addressed issues ranging from the funding of public broadcasters to immigration policies.

On March 26, 2025, Garcia expressed concern over potential efforts by entrepreneur Elon Musk and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene to cut funding for public broadcasters. He remarked, "Elon Musk and Marjorie Taylor Greene are trying to defund Sesame Street and dismantle PBS and NPR. Not on our watch. Fire Elon Musk, and Save Elmo."

The following day, March 27, 2025, Garcia commented on Greene's interaction at a DOGE hearing. He stated, "Marjorie Taylor Greene is triggered by Bert & Ernie and wants to defund Sesame Street. At her DOGE hearing, she attacked PBS and NPR and accused them of having an extreme gay agenda. Her ideas are insane and a joke."

Later the same day, Garcia criticized former President Donald Trump's immigration policies and fiscal priorities, writing, "Donald Trump always attacks immigrants and is now rounding up people, some with no criminal records. All people deserve due process. And while he uses migrants to create headlines, he’s destroying Medicare and Social Security so he can give tax cuts to billionaires."
