Her posts address a tragic accident in Washington, criticism of former President Donald Trump, and efforts to support immigrant communities.
On January 30, 2025, Barragán expressed her concern regarding a mid-air collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter in Washington. She conveyed her hope for survivors and commended the emergency personnel at the scene: "I am following the horrible news out of Washington about the mid-air crash between a passenger plane and military helicopter. I am praying for a miracle and that they are able to find survivors. My thoughts are with the emergency personnel who rushed to the site and are working…"
Later that day, Barragán criticized Donald Trump's response to the tragedy. She called for an investigation into the crash while condemning Trump's actions: "What a horrible, pathetic, little man. Donald Trump’s job was to bring the country together in a time of mourning after a national tragedy in our Nation’s Capitol as we grieve for the victims. Call for an investigation into the crash & let the experts do their jobs. He failed.…"
Additionally, Barragán highlighted her ongoing advocacy for immigrant communities by organizing a "know your rights" clinic with local organizations: "Given Trump’s target of all immigrant communities — including law abiding neighbors, caregivers, teachers, friends and family who have been here for years, and contribute to our economy, we held a know your rights clinic yesterday." She thanked organizations such as @centro_cha and @chirla_org for their involvement.
