Nanette D. Barragán, a U.S. Congress member representing California's 44th district, recently shared her thoughts on several pressing issues via social media. Barragán, who has been serving in Congress since 2017, has consistently voiced her opinions on matters impacting her constituents and the nation.

On January 23, 2025, Barragán addressed the recent ruling by a federal court in Texas regarding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Later that day, she affirmed the citizenship rights of individuals born in America. Emphasizing support from her party colleagues, she stated unequivocally: "If you are born in America, you are American. Period." Period. @HouseDemocrats stand with our Constitutional rights."

On January 25, Barragán endorsed a statement made by Senator Alex Padilla regarding misinformation or inaccuracies circulating publicly: “Shit that ain’t true.” She expressed agreement with this sentiment in her brief message directed at Senator Padilla. “Shit that ain’t true.” You got that right @SenAlexPadilla.
