Nanette D. Barragán, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California's 44th district, provided recent insights through a series of tweets. Barragán, who replaced Janice Hahn in 2017, has been active in the political scene, using her platform to express support for various causes and colleagues, as well as to commemorate historical figures.

On March 31, 2025, Barragán tweeted, "Today, we honor Cesar Chavez, a tireless civil rights activist and labor leader who fought to secure fair wages, better working conditions, and basic rights for farmworkers. His leadership sparked a movement that led to the first successful farmworkers union in the U.S." Barragán paid tribute to Chavez's legacy and his contribution to labor rights.

In a tweet dated April 1, 2025, Barragán expressed gratitude towards a colleague, stating, "Thank you to @SenBooker for LITERALLYtaking a stand for the American people and making sure that Congress has to listen to the voices of all the unheard Americans who are being harmed by the actions of Donald Trump and Republicans." Her message highlights her appreciation for Senator Booker's actions in Congress.

Continuing her support, Barragán tweeted later on April 1, 2025, "So proud to support my friend and colleague @SenBooker who continues to stand 21 HOURS STRONG on the Senate floor to raise up the voices of the American people being harmed by Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Republicans." Through these words, Barragán reinforced her backing of Senator Booker's extended effort on the Senate floor.
