“L.A. in a Minute” is a fast-growing, online video series about interesting aspects of L.A. area life and historical firsts, such as the origins of In-N-Out Burgers and Taco Bell and the world’s oldest dog, who happens to live in L.A.

The series started in January 2022 and its 300+ videos now have millions of views across Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.

But the single most popular video from L.A. in a Minute, with 1.4 million views, is a feature on the history of Lakewood, with the video’s author saying that Lakewood is “one of the most influential communities in the modern world” because of its innovative planning and success as a city that has served as a model for hundreds of communities to follow around the nation and world.
