City of Lakewood, LA recently issued the following announcement.
Teachers at all Lakewood schools are invited to apply for grants up to $500 for classroom materials, supplies or technology from the Lakewood Education Foundation (LEF). The deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. Grants are limited this year.
Last year, thanks to the generous donations of local residents and businesses, LEF was able to donate over $55,000 in grants of up to $500 to dozens of Lakewood teachers for classroom improvement projects.
All interested teachers are encouraged to apply for the grant, even if they have received one in the past.
