1 professional license issued in Long Beach during Q2 2020

Genbusiness004

One professional license was issued in Long Beach during the second quarter of 2020, according to California’s Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA). In the previous quarter, there were four licenses issued, marking a 75 percent decrease quarter over quarter.

Two cities, Carson and Long Beach, had the same number of professional licenses issued in the area with one each.

The DCA is composed of several agencies, bureaus, and commissions that influence business growth and job creation through regulation. The agency has roots that date back to 1876 when California passed the Medical Practice Act of 1876. Today the agency issues more than 280 license types including certificates, registrations, and permits.
