Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media regarding a high-profile investigation, immigration enforcement concerns among small businesses, and community events.
On August 30, 2025, Garcia announced progress in an ongoing inquiry involving former President Donald Trump and the Epstein estate. He wrote: “The Epstein estate has agreed to give us the birthday note and book – that Donald Trump says doesn’t exist – on Sept. 8. We’ve caught him in another lie. We won’t stop until we get the truth.”
The following day, August 31, Garcia commented on conversations with local business owners affected by federal immigration enforcement actions: “I’ve recently spoken with small business owners who’ve dealt with ICE raids. Their workers are scared, and many face labor shortages. No one wants dangerous criminals in our communities. But targeting working people with no record is heartless and hurts our economy.”
Later that evening, he highlighted participation in a local cultural event: “Great time with Councilwoman Cindy Allen at a Labor Day weekend tradition, the Long Beach Greek Festival! Best food and people. OPA!”
Garcia has served as the representative for California’s 42nd district since replacing Ken Calvert in 2023. Born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and currently residing in Long Beach, Garcia earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach.
