Congressman Robert Garcia, currently representing California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, has made a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing issues ranging from alleged corruption in the Trump administration to calls for transparency in congressional proceedings and local events.

On May 15, 2026, Garcia wrote: “President Trump, his family, and this Administration are profiting from pay-to-play schemes, accepting gifts from foreign and domestic actors alike. That’s why I joined @RepRaskin and @RepJoeMorelle in introducing the Protecting Our Democracy Act to stop this blatant corruption.”

The following day, Garcia commented on ongoing committee investigations involving Pam Bondi: “Pam Bondi is under a legal subpoena to testify before our committee. Meanwhile, Chairman Comer is continuing this White House cover up by allowing Pam Bondi to “testify” in a closed meeting. We won’t accept anything less than real transparency.” This tweet highlights Garcia’s demand for public accountability during congressional inquiries.

On May 16, 2026, Garcia also acknowledged a local event with a brief statement: “My statement on Long Beach Pride:”

Garcia has served as the representative for California’s 42nd District since 2023. He succeeded Ken Calvert after the most recent election cycle. Born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and currently residing in Long Beach, Garcia holds a BA from California State University, Long Beach.
