Nanette D. Barragán, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 44th district since 2017, has recently shared updates on community engagement and healthcare improvements in Lynwood through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On May 7, Barragán highlighted a recent event attended by local residents to discuss national policy impacts. She wrote, “Hundreds of local residents joined our Community Conversation last night to hear the latest from DC and share how Trump and Republicans’ selfish policies have made life harder. I hear you — and I’m taking your stories and concerns back to Washington as @HouseDemocrats are ready https://t.co/5mqSo1yVTQ”.
Two days later, on May 8, Barragán reported on her visit to the Eisner Health Center in Lynwood. She stated, “Back at Eisner Health Center in Lynwood to hear how their expanded services are going after I secured federal funding to make this happen! With its newly expanded services in telehealth, mental health, optometry, and other areas, they’ll be able to serve even more #Lynwood https://t.co/RzxmAWz9mm”.
On May 10, she marked Mother’s Day with a message: “Today, we celebrate the women who have raised us, inspired us, and shaped us into who we are today. Happy Mother’s Day! https://t.co/yX1wpfEubA”.
Barragán has served as the representative for California’s 44th district since succeeding Janice Hahn in 2017. Born in Los Angeles in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Barragán holds a BA from UCLA (2000) and a JD from USC (2005).
