Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted several messages on social media over September 7 and 8, addressing local business support, community events, and transparency regarding a high-profile investigation.
On September 7, Garcia encouraged his followers to help local entrepreneurs: “If you can, support small businesses in your community like Yummi Yummi Bionicos in Bellflower. I’m hearing from so many small business owners like Daniel who are feeling the impact of the economy. Small businesses power our cities.”
Later that day, he shared reflections on a neighborhood gathering: “Great Long Beach day at the @BelmontShoreLBC car show. Classic cars, perfect weather, and a great time for the whole family. Great to talk to so many neighbors and friends.”
On September 8, Garcia addressed calls for greater transparency related to an ongoing investigation: “This week, we should be receiving the Epstein birthday book and note that Donald Trump says doesn’t exist. Release the files, NOW.”
Garcia has served as representative for California’s 42nd District since 2023 after succeeding Ken Calvert. He was born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and resides in Long Beach. Garcia is also an alumnus of California State University, Long Beach.
