Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets addressing national political issues and local community events.
On September 5, 2025, Garcia raised concerns about the state of the nation, posting: “Weak job growth. Millions losing Medicaid. Tax breaks for billionaires. A cover-up on the Epstein files. Is America great yet?”
Later that day, he focused on the Department of Justice and ongoing controversy regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case. In his tweet from September 5, 2025, Garcia stated: “All Americans should be outraged about the DOJ’s continued cover-up over the Epstein files. Deputy Chief Joseph Schnitt’s comments about potential efforts to redact Republican names from the files are alarming.
Defying a congressional subpoena is highly illegal. We are calling”
On September 6, 2025, Garcia shifted attention to a local event in Long Beach: “Great to visit the Cal Heights Centennial Block Party and celebrate this amazing historic district in Long Beach. This neighborhood has been thriving for 101 years now! https://t.co/B53MdW5I8S”
Garcia has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Ken Calvert and currently resides in Long Beach. He was born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and holds a BA from California State University, Long Beach.
