Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, has made a series of posts on social media calling for the release of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and raising questions about former President Donald Trump and Fox News.

On July 16, 2025, Garcia posted: “Donald Trump is hiding something. Release the Epstein files.”

The following day, on July 17, 2025, he continued his criticism by alleging manipulation of information by a major news outlet: ” Did you know that Fox News manipulated Donald Trump’s answer about releasing the Epstein files during the presidential campaign? What are Fox and Trump trying to cover up?”

Later on July 17, Garcia reiterated his concerns with another post: “What the hell is going on with the Epstein case? There is no question that Donald Trump – and now possibly Fox News – are hiding something and are involved in a potential cover-up. We need the Epstein files released immediately.”

Garcia has served in Congress since replacing Ken Calvert in 2023. Born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and currently residing in Long Beach, Garcia holds a BA from California State University, Long Beach.
