Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues ranging from food insecurity to ongoing investigations into financial crimes.
On October 30, 2025, Garcia highlighted the increasing demand for food assistance programs due to federal benefit reductions. He wrote, “Students access the @CSULB Pantry for food and support. With SNAP benefits being cut, pantries and food banks are seeing a surge in need. It’s time to end this government shutdown and fund food assistance across the country.”
The following day, on October 31, Garcia shifted focus to what he described as a lack of transparency regarding certain criminal investigations. He stated, “The White House cover-up continues. We need the bank and financial records NOW to uncover the names of the men who committed these horrific crimes. Release the files!”
Later that same day, Garcia addressed developments related to former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta’s involvement in investigating Jeffrey Epstein’s finances. He posted, “We just learned that Alex Acosta and his team were leading an investigation into Epstein’s financial crimes and records—yet they chose not to prosecute. Why? Acosta didn’t share this information when he testified to Congress. It’s time to get the truth and release the files.”
