In a statement posted at 15:37 UTC, Garcia announced an inquiry involving major broadcasters and a federal agency: “We are launching an investigation into ABC, Sinclair, and the FCC. @OversightDems will defend the First Amendment.”

Born in Lima, Peru in 1977, Garcia is currently based in Long Beach where he remains active within his community. He earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach.
