Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California’s 42nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing environmental concerns and ongoing investigations related to high-profile criminal cases.

On November 14, 2025, Garcia commented on potential changes to federal drilling policy under former President Donald Trump, stating: “Our California beaches may be threatened by Trump’s plan to expand drilling off our coast. This would greatly impact LA & Orange County beaches. Not on our watch.”

The following day, Garcia addressed the issue of Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal status, writing: “Ghislaine Maxwell is a monster who deserves no commutation and no pardon. We have a lot of questions for her — it’s time for her to answer them.” This statement reflects ongoing public and legislative interest in the aftermath of Maxwell’s conviction related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Later that same day, Garcia continued his commentary regarding efforts to obtain documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein. He wrote: “Donald Trump is panicking because we’re not backing down. No matter what he tries to do, we are going to get the Epstein files and release them.”

Garcia has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Ken Calvert. Born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and currently residing in Long Beach, Garcia graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
